The below picture is of the Manor House, Castle Combe, Wiltshire. My great great grandmother worked at the house as a House Maid. As a young girl I loved the village and often felt I had my roots there. Little did I know that I had, and that many years later, were to discover hundreds of ancestors in the village's parish records.

 

This started me on my quest to find my roots, which is explained in this web site, as well as linked to my own family web site at www.lisa-hancock.co.uk (currently under construction).

 

I can carry out research for you, giving the personal touch, and details of your ancestors. I cover Kent, East Sussex and London predominantly, but often go further afield to find those elusive ancestors!

 

I aim to produce substantial information from 3-8 weeks, depending on circumstances. Often research takes longer for a common surname and for those starting from scratch. I have to obtain certificates which, if they are Birth or Death, arrive in PDF format by email, but Marriage's can take up to 3 weeks to arrive (but generally 10 days to 2 weeks).
